PISCES AND ITS DECANATES

Not all natives of the same sun sign can be characterized as a unit by the general characteristics of that sign. There are some divisions and subdivisions, each with its characteristics who give much more particular personality traits to the native of a sign. The most important division is the decanate. Among the 30 degrees of each sun sign, each decanate of the three has 10 degrees.

Decanate 1 -

  • Degree 1-10 of Pisces, corresponding to the period February 19th - 28/29th.
  • Rulers: Neptune as ruler of Pisces and Saturn as specific ruler of the decanate.
  • Constellation: Cepheus
    Key word: truth
  • Characterization: A puritan, conservative, and religious fanatic. He prefers behaving according to a certain pattern and does not agree with people who try to be different. He lives in loneliness and poverty but he dreams of being glorified. He might behave like a tyrant, but only when his fellows are narrow-minded. He believes he is always right and knows the gospel truth.
  • Tree zodiac: Pine-tree, characterized by key words, such as: refined, active, selfish, philosopher, dignified, and passionate. He is vulnerable in any romantic affair.
  • Karmic: He has a clear mission: to hold on to his moral values for as long as possible, even if they are considered old-fashioned. Actually, he supports human progress by determining people to consider values only when they are appropriate.

Decanate 2 -

  • Degrees 11-20 of Pisces, corresponding to the period March 1st -10th.
  • Rulers: Neptune as ruler of Pisces and Jupiter as specific ruler of the decanate.
  • Constellation: Andromeda
    Key word:  self sacrifice
  • Characterization: They differ from the natives of the first decanate because they are compassionate, forgiving, and understanding. They may look rather foolish. But that is caused by their inner torment which is sometimes unaccountable. Their self-sacrifice is a sign of their wisdom.
  • Tree zodiac: Willow, characterized by key words: melancholy, vulnerability, sadness, poetry; decided, bold, difficult character; acting skills, romantic, clear-sighted; treason, suffering for reasons of love.
  • Karmic: They must learn about being compassionate. They must sacrifice their own feelings and purposes because they have not learnt their lessons in their previous lives.

Decanate 3 -

  • Degrees 21-30 of Pisces, corresponding to the period March 11th - 20th.
  • Rulers: Neptune as ruler of Pisces and Mars as specific ruler of the decanate.
  • Constellation: Cassiopeia
    Key word: hardship
  • Characterization: He might be a skilled fighter and patriot. He differs from the natives of the previous decanate because he sacrifices his feelings and mortal body for an ideal, even though the ideal is not very clearly established in his mind. He might be philanthropic and vain. Sometimes the native spends his life in vain.
  • Tree zodiac: Lime-tree, characterized by key words, such as: small bourgeois, liar, charming, dreamy, unstable, secretive, lonely, smart, and obsessed with cleanliness.
  • Karmic: Generally, he has many obstacles to get over in order to learn his lessons. The cause for that is his concern for spiritual values during his past lives.
