SCORPIO AND ITS DECANATES
|
Not all natives of the same sun
sign can be characterized as a unit by the general characteristics of that
sign. There are some divisions and subdivisions, each with its
characteristics who give much more particular personality traits to the
native of a sign. The most important division is the decanate. Among the 30
degrees of each sun sign, each decanate of the three has 10 degrees. |
Decanate 1 - 
- Degree 1-10 of Scorpio, corresponding to the period October 23rd -
November 1st.
- Rulers: Mars as double ruler of both Scorpio and
the decanate.

- Characterization:
Most of the time they are frustrated and consider
that they have achieved something important by contesting and complaining. That
consider it common and they will never
be satisfied with the society
they live in. Thus, they are very intelligent: a humble genius, elegant but poor
and lonely.

Nut-tree, characterized by key words: shy,
refined, capricious, cruel, generous, loyal but unfair, faithful and unsteady,
surprising, dangerous; risk and strategy.
- Karmic:
This may be one of their first incarnations. Now, they
must learn about using their energies positively and what is changing a rough
energy into a subtler one.
Decanate 2 - 
- Degrees 11-20 of Scorpio, corresponding to the period November 2nd
-11th.
- Rulers: Mars as ruler of Scorpio and the Sun as specific ruler
of the decanate.
 Constellation: Ara

- Characterization:
We must consider them our ideal friends but behind their mask, they hide a lot of perfidiousness. Even though they
have an acute sense of responsibility, they are changing: something that is
valid today, is not the very next day.
- Tree zodiac:
Poplar-tree, characterized by key words, such as:
extremely pessimistic, sensitive, courageous, bohemian, organized, independent,
critical, and family-oriented.
- Karmic:
They differ from the natives of the first decanate
due to
the different lessons they must learn during this lifetime: changing their moral values
and learning the true meaning of
value and responsibility.

- Degrees 21-30 of Scorpio, corresponding to the period November 12th -
21st.
- Rulers: Mars as ruler of Scorpio and Venus as specific ruler of
the
decanate.

Corona Australis

- Characterization:
They may be very silent and well brought up, but also
very talkative and frivolous. Their humble character is hidden underneath a
certain type of politeness, meanwhile the humble side of their personality is hidden
underneath seeming characteristics.
- Tree zodiac:
Chestnut-tree, characterized by key words, such
as:
violent injustice, deception, lack of tactfulness; emotional, comfortable,
regulatory, scrupulous, righteous, philosophical, and misunderstood.
- Karmic:
They are introverted and must use their talent
for
producing excellent artistic values. We might call it transformation and use
these ideals in art.
