TAURUS AND ITS DECANATES
|
Not all natives of the same sun sign can be
characterized as a unit by the general characteristics of that sign. There are
some divisions and subdivisions, each with its characteristics who give much more
particular personality traits to the native of a sign. The most important
division is the decanate. Among the 30 degrees of each sun sign, each decanate of the
three has 10 degrees.

Decanate 1 -  
- Degrees 1-10 of Taurus, corresponding to the period
between April
21st - 30th.
- Rulers: Venus, as ruler of the sign of Taurus and Mercury, as
specific ruler of the decanate.
 Constellation:
Lepus
Key word: determination
- Characterization:
Very melancholic, he considers his life
is easier if he complains about any difficulty or problems created
by some friend. He is very ambitious, he works hard to have a higher social position
and to strengthen it. He reckons this struggle has a noble purpose and for
that reason, he appreciates those who do the same (with a specific and
determined purpose). He is a good professional, efficient and creative, he
is the partner or the employee everybody wants to have.
- Tree zodiac:
The Nut-tree and its practical nature is
characterized by key words: shy and refined, whimsical, cruel, generous,
loyal but unfair, unsteady, surprising but faithful; danger, strategy, and
risk.
- Karmic:
The purpose of his incarnation is to ensure a
dignified and permanent social rank. He also has a cult for honest work. For
that reason, they consider any effort is necessary.
Decanate 2 - 
- Degrees 11-20 of Taurus, corresponding to the period May 1st -10th.
- Rulers: Venus as ruler of Taurus and the Moon as specific
ruler of the decanate.
 Constellation:
Orion
Key word: effort
- Characterization:
Very conservative,
they believe that respecting tradition is compulsory for those
who consider the cult of the ancestors as a true myth. It is not about the
cult of personal ancestors, but the parenthood of his entire people. They
consider life as a permanent struggle. If it had not been so, they would not
feel they are "alive". For that reason, they consider "unconscious and
reckless" those persons which take life trials very easily. They
call all that "life experience". The experience contributes to the pessimism they
are characterized by.
- Tree zodiac:
Poplar-tree has an artistic nature and it is
characterized by the following key words: extreme pessimism, sensitivity, courage,
bohemian style; organized, independent, critical, and family-oriented.
- Karmic:
The most important goal is family well being and
safety, for which they are determined to sacrifice.
Decanate 3 - 
- Degrees 21-30 of Taurus, corresponding to the period May 11th - 20th.
- Rulers: Venus as ruler of Taurus and Mercury as
specific ruler of the decanate.
 Constellation:
Auriga
Key word: masterliness
- Characterization:
He is a lonely person. He understands things more
difficultly than the natives of the other two decanates; he is more
profound and wise, at least seemingly. The wisdom and thoroughness are
revealed only seemingly, the moment they are flattered. They have
problems in make the difference between false and true feelings. They do not trust
other people, especially in business matters where their own goods are at
stake.
- Tree zodiac:
Chestnut-tree, a practical side, characterized by
key words: violent if injustice occurs, lack of diplomacy, emotional,
comfortable, scrupulous, a philosopher that other people do not understand;
disappointed and repressive.
- Karmic:
The first step amongst the several incarnations,
in order to create their own kind of wisdom or at least, what they consider
to be wisdom. They have the impression they need suspicion and authority for
solving that
aspect and they are about to learn about confiding in other people, as secondary
lesson.
